Dynamic infrastructure-as-a-service: A key paradigm for 6G networks and application to maritime communications

Although, the advent of fifth Generation (5G) communication networks has introduced technology enablers and system capability to support a large number devices, highly-demanding services, as well ultra-low latency high reliability, enhancements current systems will not suffice for future generation networks. Instead, disruptive paradigm needs be that ultimately enable radical evolution new ones, capable self-aggregating extraordinary connectivity computing capabilities in seamless manner. To this end, sixth (6G) should able seamlessly integrate release, dynamic manner, heterogeneous types resources, such diverse network entities/nodes with nomadic, relaying, multi-tenancy capabilities, which can demand-driven service provisioning, coverage extension, increased capacity, reduced energy consumption. This paper presents novel networking towards Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), introduces infrastructure management orchestration mechanism, including nomadic Artificial Intelligence (AI)-aware approaches resources. In order emphasize compelling potential proposed paradigm, we detail its application maritime networks, while identifying use case key driver IaaS concept.
